Robert Walters

Robert is Senior Vice President of Network Planning, Construction & Engineering at AT&T, where he leads a team of more than 15,000 professionals designing, building, and operating the company’s converged fiber and 5G networks. He oversees AT&T’s multi-billion-dollar network investment strategy, including spectrum, fiber, and 5G expansion, as well as the company’s industry-leading fiber build program, which is on pace to pass 30 million customer locations.

With more than 20 years of experience at AT&T, Robert has held leadership roles spanning capital management, technology development, service delivery, sourcing, and global partnerships. He previously led AT&T’s Global Connections and Alliance Management team, managing $3 billion in third-party wholesale relationships.

Robert holds an MBA from Georgia State University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Florida State University. Passionate about developing future generations, he serves on the boards of Ignite Mindshift and A Room to Grow. Robert and his wife, Mindy, live in Flower Mound, Texas, with their two children.
